This surveys sample contains groups of students doing various study programs at the CEGEP Édouard-Montpetit. The questionnaire contained multiple-choice questions and one open-ended question in which student speak about the satisfaction of their computer. Most of the respondents have a computer at home and half of them use it for work.

The response shows that more than 80% of the students have a computer at home.

It shows that more than half of the students use computer each day and also that they use half of the time on the computer for work. An other point, almost 40% of the students have a cable connection and 70% use a hard disk for support.

Analysis

The findings show us that most of the Student’s have a computer and half of them use it each day, but a little more than half of them use it for work, and the other use it generally for playing, or for doing a lot of different things, like games, chat, pass time. Strangely only 15% use it for chat, it’s a strange data, because a lot of experts say that most of the students spend their time on the computer for chat. Most of students also use their hard disk, more than 70%, but they also use equitably DVD and USB key which is being more popular every day.
